At age nine, I dreamt of my grandfather’s death in detail 24 hours before it happened. I told my mother, who attempted to comfort me and then dismissed my dream as a nightmare. My grandfather and I were so close, and when he died the following night I was inconsolable. Later, he appeared to me. I knew then at that young age that life was far more than it appeared to be and that death was not only the end, but that it was possible to communicate with those who had died. Some of our imaginary friends were very real. Animals who have passed on have often been seen and heard by their owners. How wonderful that death cannot separate us from those whom we love. They watch over us still and are present in important events in our lives. Learning how to be open to this communication is the basis of this class.
